A one-day symposium on Collaboration Technologies in the Financial Services Sector. The event addressed the increasing importance of collaboration and collaboration technologies in institutional financial services. The event was aimed at supporting individual firms and the entire industry to address the challenges and opportunities of this emerging space.
The event brought together industry leaders to examine the underlying drivers of change including transparency, execution commoditization, and shifts in buy-side/ sell-side information flows in specific market segments, including equities, fixed income, M&A, and syndication.
Trading and dealmaking are increasingly driven by multiple parties engaged in collaborative activities, requiring shifts in behaviours, firm strategy, and technology.
Instant messaging is playing a key role in markets, with other real-time collaboration tools rapidly being deployed. Effective use of document collaboration platforms can provide massive benefits in complex multi-party deals such as M&A and syndication. Collaboration tools must be linked to internal systems, including content management and document workflow.
